Inking on Forms

Many lawyers use forms to gather certain information during client meetings. I do when I am working on estate or business planning matters. I use the general note taking approach for most of my litigation matters, however.
In an effort to move law offices to less paper driven entities, consider using an electronic form solution software such as Active Ink Software. It is not cheap--between $129 to $499 per work station, but the software may be right for you to use with your tablet PC. You can find out more information at
www.activeinksoftware.com.
The forms can be imported from Word, Excel and PDF. The software also supports drop down options within a form (you can design these with Adobe Pro 8 which is amazing). Some versions form Active Ink Software also support the making of these types of forms as well. Having your ink converted to typed words on a form is very handy with certain law practices. You can then forward the completed form to an assistant to get started drafting the documents in your case.
